Susan
Bowen, Brooklyn, NY:
Susan Bowen comes from Brooklyn, NY. The Holga, A cheap
plastic camera, is Bowen's preferred tool. The camera's inherent inability
to adavnce the film correctly results in panoramic images of New York city
which are printed as digital C-prints. most of these prints are urban in
nature and express the experience of walking a city street. The
bombardment of senses, the urgency, the multifaceted character of New
York, in particular, is a constant inspiration to Susan. The city explodes
with life; she attempts to capture that energy and vitality and to show
the wonders possible around each corner.
The multiple exposures expand on the concept of captured
moment and draw the viewer into a world of unexpected and unclear
juxtapositions; a story unfolds, a discovery awaits.
These prints are digital c-prints. They are 6 X 24.8
inches in size. |
